Objectives · To support members through practical and applied programmes of education and training. · Providing training in essential skills for church music. · Developing understanding of music in the Church's ministry and worship. · Encouraging good music everywhere through fostering outreach from local churches into the community. · Engaging with young people in singing. |
RSCM ScotlandRSCM Scotland is the Scottish branch of this educational, ecumenical and international Christian charity.
Aware of the particular difficulties experienced by smaller congregations in finding musicians to lead music in worship of all denominations within Scotland, we endeavour to support members who are trying to keep music alive in their churches. The RSCM has two key educational programmes. 1. Voice for Life, which is for singers- see the Voice for Life tab above, and more information can be found at: www.rscmscotland.com and 2. Church Music Skills. This is designed to help practising church musicians develop the skills and understanding that they need for their role, and to equip those who want to be able to lead music in worship. Classes and workshops for both these programmes are held regularly in Scotland.
